Moved in!

We have been in the new house for about a week.  I will post pictures when I am not horrified about posting the mess that is the boxes and things that don't yet have a home.  Plus I hate the current wall colors, or the horrors that is the wallpaper in some of the rooms.

The move in was pretty painless.  Thanks to the weeks of packing ahead of time, the truck loaded faster than we thought and we moved out a full day ahead of schedule.  Which left my horse alone for an extra day.  No big deal, in two days the hauler would come and bring him home.  The unloading of the truck went pretty quickly, and a couple friends came over to help build Faldur's new fencing.  Everything was ready for my pony to arrive.  Except the hauler was in Oregon on the day they were to pick up my horse(Sunday).  They would pick him up the following afternoon.  Then their truck broke down the that day(Monday).  They didn't tell me about until the next morning (Tuesday).  They didn't tell me to find a new hauler until I pointedly asked them that morning.  What I hated was the stress they caused me by not keeping in contact.  They would call my neighbor looking after Faldur but not me the OWNER!  NEVER USE D&D HORSE TRANSPORT!  They SUCK and DON'T KEEP IN TOUCH!  I called SPORT HORSE TRANSPORT and he came over the next morning at 6am, picked up Faldur and his water bucket, and dropped him off at 10:50am!  I loved it and he kept in touch!

Faldur loves being back with me but isn't thrilled that his new paddock is much smaller for the time being.  Once I have some money, I will be expanding his pasture.  I am also trying to find access to trails that doesn't take us by loose pitbulls or giant angry dogs that bark or tight roads with crazy drivers.  I am also going to start riding with pepper spray until I find a safe trail.

In the meantime, I am unpacking and drawing up a list of house projects and figuring out which ones can be done first and cheaply!
